Phoenix town dock - We were supposed to be off the boat at Cold Spring Harbor by 0900 hours our final day. We had planned on about 90 minutes to get from the Phoenix dock to CSH. It took a bit longer, but certainly less than 2 hours.
I awoke well before the alarm and started to brew the coffee while Ginnie slept. Since we had neighbors on the dock who weren't on our schedule this weekend morning, I at least held off warming up the diesel until 0630. I figured they could go back to sleep after we left.
We had breakfast en route. The time of the return trip gave us time to finish packing, and to do some tidying up. We were to leave the boat "clean" which I interpreted as the realtors say 'broom clean' as opposed to 'sanitized for your protection'. We left that part to the MLN crew waiting at Cold Spring Harbor.
We docked at CSH, sans bow thruster, in view of the fleet and the entire MLN staff. We came into the small harbor, executed a tight turn, and backed into the slip without any crunches or curses. While it wasn't a beautiful docking, it wasn't embarrassing. Nick complimented us, but I had to point out to him that we'd had a great instructor (him).
All in all, we were all in great spirits, and we'd had a wonderful time. We did manage to get our duffel off the boat by the appointed 0900 hours
